In this article, we will show you how to install vMix on Windows 10 in a few simple steps.
Step 1: Download vMix Software
The first step is to download the latest version of vMix software from the official website: https://www.vmix.com/Software/Download.aspx. You can choose between the 32-bit or 64-bit version depending on your system. The download file includes the vMix software, vMix Social, vMix GT Title Designer and vMix Desktop Capture all in one setup program.
vMix offers a free 60-day trial of the PRO edition, which gives you access to all the features and functions available. After the trial period expires, you can either purchase a license or continue using the free Basic edition, which has some limitations. You can also enter your license key during the installation process if you have already purchased one.
Step 2: Run the Setup Program
Once you have downloaded the vMix setup file, double-click on it to run it. You will see a welcome screen that asks you to choose your language. Select your preferred language and click Next.
Then you will see the license agreement screen. Read the terms and conditions carefully and click I Agree if you accept them.
Next, you will see the installation options screen. Here you can choose where to install vMix on your computer and whether to create shortcuts on your desktop and start menu. You can also choose which components to install: vMix Software (required), vMix Social (optional), vMix GT Title Designer (optional) and vMix Desktop Capture (optional). We recommend installing all the components for the best experience. Click Next when you are done.
Finally, you will see the ready to install screen. Click Install to start the installation process. It may take a few minutes depending on your system speed and internet connection.
Step 3: Launch vMix Software
When the installation is complete, you will see a finish screen that asks you to restart your computer. You can choose to restart now or later, but we recommend restarting now to ensure that all the drivers and components are properly installed.
After restarting your computer, you can launch vMix software by clicking on the shortcut on your desktop or start menu. You will see a splash screen that shows the version and edition of vMix that you are using. Then you will see the main interface of vMix with a blank preset.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed vMix on Windows 10. Now you can start creating your own live productions with vMix. 06063cd7f5
